Today is World Water Day. If it is like previous World Water Days, you will probably not hear much about the condition of the world’s water in the news today any more than any other day.
If 18 fully loaded jumbo jets with children were to fall from the sky one day, it would certainly make the news. Yet, six thousand children, the equivalent of 18 fully loaded jumbo jets, die DAILY from diseases associated with the lack of clean, safe water.
Imagine waking up each morning with no safe water to brush your teeth; no clean water to wash your face or to bathe; and no water for coffee or to quench your thirst. 1.2 billion people face this reality every morning, and their reality includes sickness and death caused by these issues.
Considering the problems facing the world today— global warming, strife, economic stress, etc.— unsafe water is one problem that can be solved. Pure Water for the World has the will, we only need the means. Will you help us? |
